HSLM Foster Program

Humane Society London & Middlesex was established as a non-profit organization in 1899 and exists to improve the lives of animals in our community by providing temporary shelter and appropriate new families for surrendered animals.

HSLM is a trusted leader in animal welfare. We are committed to advocating and supporting animals through provision of compassionate care, education, resources and partnership. Our goal is to foster joy, hope, and connection, all with a vision of a humane and harmonious future.

Throughout the years, we have worked tirelessly to assist animals by providing them with a home until they can be adopted into a new family.

The goal of our Foster Program is to provide temporary care for shelter animals to decrease time spent in shelter and increase adoptability.

How to apply:

Start by creating an account, you will then be directed to our application questions! The application includes a series of questions to help us get to know you, your home, and your experience with animals. At the end of the application, you’ll see a requirement for a police record check, don’t worry, you do not need to complete this on your own right away. Once your application is submitted, our team will review it and reach out with next steps. We will guide you through the process, including assisting you in obtaining your police check at no cost. We’re excited to support you every step of the way!
